Social anxiety is the one of the biggest problem, in many people
which prevents them to get success in many fields in their life. Social anxiety
is something like when you are required to present a speech or presentation
even before small group of people your body and fear inside your mind won't
allow you to do that properly.
Social anxiety may harm your career and your relationship
and it may not be possible for you to create a bond with people. As a result
you might not get what you deserved! While your depression may be one of the
reason for your social anxiety there are other reasons and you need to overcome
those fears!
It is not impossible or it is not that hard as
we think of it always. Many famous peoples and great leaders faced such social
anxiety in their initial days but they overcome it and won the world. If you
read one of the best leaders of century Mahatma Gandhi's biography "My Experiments
With Truth" you will surprised to see that he had faced the same
problem.
Now get ready and do some mind exercise to make
yourself comfort and confident.

Overcome the fear:
Fear is
the first and the biggest obstacle which always crosses your way whenever you
try to be social. First of all you have to overcome this and only then you can
go ahead with your social life with more confidence. You might always think
what other people might think about your particular behaviour or action. But
believe me no one has time to think about you! Really people are busy with
their lives and you are still wasting your time thinking about their thoughts.
No one is
always 100% correct and that’s why we are human (otherwise we would be gods!).
Everyone does some mistakes and we should learn from our mistakes.
So let
people think whatever they want to think about your action or behaviour you
just don’t waste your time by thinking about them.

Breathing exercise:
Breathing
problems are very common in those people are suffering from social anxiety.
Sometimes you might have observed that whenever you are in the middle of group
of people you might find yourself short of breathing. Short of breathing or
uneasy breathing during your social interactions is one of the symptoms of
social anxiety. The fear of your mind doesn’t allow your body to function
properly and causes breathing problem.
To
overcome this practising deep and long breathing is very helpful. Once you get
normal breathing during your social interactions you will definitely overcome
the fear and you will be able to put your thoughts properly and clearly.

Stop negative thinking:
Your mind
is constantly thinking about something, almost all the time; it is mostly
impossible to control it but you can make it think only in positive ways.

Don’t think much about response of other peoples:
People
will give you either positive or negative response; depending upon their
perspective. At this time you should not give much value or importance to their
response. You should focus on only one thing and that what you wanted to
achieve and you should make improvements accordingly.

Listen carefully and ask questions:
While you
are in a conversation with other people listen to them carefully. It will help
you to understand the issue and they will respect you because you were listening
to them properly. It will help when you put your opinions and thoughts about
issue before them. Listening carefully, any issue will help you to create some
questions and you can ask such questions specifically to boost the
conversation.
Any person
needs to be active socially and he/she should be able to convey his/her own
thoughts clearly. If you fail on this front in life there is very difficult
path ahead you. Social phobia can be treated properly but for that you need to
give proper attention to yourself/ In some cases you can take the help of therapist.
Overcoming social anxiety is not an easy task especially for people who are introvert. Having said, I think we should still try to overcome our fear as it is a necessary skill require for corporate success.
